Kitchen of the Month Winner for Cabinet Refacing for March
This Sylvania, Ohio customer was looking for a kitchen upgrade but was happy with the overall layout of their kitchen. Kitchen Solvers of Toledo helped design the perfect hybrid remodel that included refacing some of the existing cabinets as well as adding in some new ones as well. We were able to create a larger kitchen by removing the dated kitchen desk area and installing a brand new large double refrigerator and freezer in it’s place. Two large pantry cabinets and overhead cabinets were also added to create an entire wall of new, usable storage. Moving the existing fridge and microwave freed up space to relocate the stovetop off the island and install a stainless steel hood. This allows the island to turn into a large prep workstation with a new prep sink. Heightening the cabinets to the ceiling and adding a new crown molding give the kitchen the finished, formal look the homeowner was looking for.
With the new kitchen bones in place, it was time for the finishing touches. This customer chose the Breckenridge door and drawer fronts in Snow White finish with a charcoal glaze for the perimeter cabinets. For the island, they chose Gauntlet with a white glaze. They also decided to add decorative panels for the backside of the island and peninsula for another touch of elegance. For the new countertop, they decided on a beautiful Cardiff Marble ogee edged granite that was treated with Azerocare. They wanted something eye catching for the backsplash so they went with a herringbone pattern of Skyline Marquina. Finally, new light fixtures were installed to bring this kitchen from casual, builder grade to the formal, custom look that the homeowner wanted. Kitchen Solvers of Toledo was happy to help make this homeowners dream come to life.
